We are proud to announce that Heathridge Primary School is now a collection point for recyclable containers. With a goal to reduce waste and create a sustainable future for all, we encourage everyone to recycle their used containters at our collection point as often as possible.
All funds raised will go directly back into the school to help develop the hearts and minds of our students.
We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing the positive impacts we can make on our enviroment.

We have recently received a donation of soil and plants from Bunnings, Joondalup. Students planted the vegetable plants and have been watering them on a daily basis. We are looking forward to our first harvest of crops.
Lena Nursery in Wangara have donated an orange tree and a mandarin tree for the commencement of the school's orchard.
Gardening Club is one way Heathridge Primary School endeavours to address cross-curriculum priorities like sustainability and Caring for Country in a fun and engaging manner. The aim is to eventually produce enough fruit and vegetable to provide crunch and sip for selected students/classrooms at our school.
Australia is one of the highest producers of waste per person in the western world. The average student’s lunch generates a total of 3 kg of waste per school year. In an average primary school of 350 students, that equates to 10,050 kg of waste per
year just from lunches.
With a focus on innovative thinking for National Science Week, our Heathridge Primary School sustainability team have introduced a Waste-Free Wednesday initiative.
From Wednesday 16th August, students will be encouraged to bring a waste free lunchbox every Wednesday (this means bringing food that is not wrapped in soft plastic, or wrappers of any kind).
